“(Campfire Classics) kicks off with some spaghetti-western guitar — introducing another of the band’s musical reference points — before exploding into the souped-up pop of Coupe de Grace (complete with delicious la-la-las) and the 1970s Beach Boys sound of Desperados, with honky-tonk piano, gloriously inappropriate fuzz guitar and a gorgeous, yearning chorus: “This feeling — will it ever let me go?”
