Folktronica's favourite elusive son, Jakokoyak, has been residing in a land where the concept of time has yet to be discovered. Since touring with the Super Furry Animals and supporting everyone from Simple Kid to Mogwai, the Willy Wonka of Welsh music has been busy in his factory working away on his oompa loompas and ...creating an album titled 'Aerophlot'.
As a warm up for the forthcoming release of Aerophlot and to formally baptise Jakokoyak as a proper Mancunian (he now lives in Manchester), come down to Moho on Friday to sample the delights of the new album.
** A limited edition handcrafted DIY promo of the album will be available for FREE at the gig - yes it will be FREE - and they will also be appearing on random shop counters in the Northern Quarter during the next few weeks.

Jakokoyak Here's this week's homemade video - the track is called Syrthio (which means 'falling' in Welsh) and features Gwenno Saunders of The Pipettes. Video sampled from Michel Gondry's 'La Lettre'. (If you don't understand Welsh, the song is about the feeling of being destined to fail and fall to the ground. Like Franz Kafa, ...or Wrexham FC etc.)
