Red Dragon is the very first Welsh radio station to launch an event like this. We're working in conjunction with the Children’s Hospital for Wales to raise as much money as we can. It will see Red Dragon broadcast live from the Children’s Hospital in Cardiff, over three days.

The event takes place on the 16th, 17th and 18th of October will be a live broadcast from the Children’s Hospital in Cardiff where patients, families, nurses and doctors will all be invited to share their experiences over the air waves. No doubt we'll be having a few celebrities drop in to surprise the kids (and parents!).

The Children’s Hospital’s official charity the Noah’s Ark Appeal has finished phase one of the hospital which saw fantastic new facilities including two new medical wards with bedside parents accommodation, family room, parents lounges and playrooms. Along with a children’s cancer unit including ward, day care unit, outpatients and full family accommodation, and a state of the art surrounding to distract children from pain.

Now that phase one has been completed it is essential that we help the Noah’s Ark Appeal get to phase two and to do this we need to raise as much money as possible. Phase two will see new children’s operating theatres, a new critical care unit, and brand new wards for children needing surgery and an adolescent ward. At present the adolescent patients are in with the children which can be extremely uncomfortable at times.
